Generacs PWRcell unit was added to the product lineup in 2019 with the acquisition of Pika Energy and Neurio Technology. The product is a 3-part system that combines module level optimizers that feed a DC to AC Inverter which then fills the PWRcell energy storage units. Use of the system requires retrofitting an existing system or simply adding a separate system to your current system configuration.
The Generac inverter is a stand alone unit that transforms DC power from the solar modules to AC power for home use. The bi-directional inverter is used as a pass thru for storing DC power in the batteries for future conversion.
